Are We Breeding Geniuses Or Emotionless Robots?

As they say that world is a strange place. We are going on the road of progress and development and at the same time we are facing a constant deterioration. A keen and detailed observation of the present day literacy rate shows an absurd connection with the violence rate. Yes, along with literacy rate, the rate of violence among humans is also increasing strangely.
As we are talking about children here, let us focus our topic of concern on them. The growing rate of violence can be in a way traced back to the education system in which our children are thriving. The cutthroat competition and the struggle to make a mark is instilling a kind selfishness in today’s children. Most of the children are so busy in a vast array of activities all through the day, that they seldom find time to play and observe the beautiful nature around them. As a result of which, they encounter a unbalanced growth of intellect and a subdued personality, which is very prone to violent outbursts.
This is proving to be a major problem today and it can be curbed only by bringing about a radical change in the education system and by providing proper teaching aids. The children after their studies and homework should have enough time for themselves, so that they can explore their surroundings completely and see all the shades of our mother nature, for a well-balanced and harmonious growth. This is something that today’s educators should understand and acknowledge.
