A Simple but Costly Mistake

Monday, March 24th, 2008

With any web design, mistakes are going to happen. Some of these mistakes are huge while others are small. The mistakes you want to avoid at all costs are the small ones that have a huge impact! You can visit the internet today and find thousands and thousands of ecommerce websites, some offering the same products and others offering something unique. As a part of your web design, you want to create a powerful internet marketing plan. However, to accomplish this, you need to make sure you avoid those small mistakes that could end up costing you dearly.

A mistake often seen with ecommerce websites is poor customer communication.  Think of shopping online this way – you are forking over hard-earned money to a total stranger. Even websites with guarantees and security can pose a risk. While the chances of being ripped off are slim, it happens. An excellent internet marketing strategy to provide every customer with peace of mind is having full contact information and responding in a quick and professional manner. Making a customer wait 48 hours or longer for a response will do nothing but cost you business and good reputation. Regardless of the time of year, even during the busiest holiday seasons, you need to have a response policy in place. Then, as a part of your internet marketing, you can boast about your customer satisfaction and fast response.

Search Engines In The Past, To Day And Pay-Per-Click Method

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

The originators of the search engine on the web were the WordNet invented by George A Miller in 1985 and was highly favored by all those who used Internet since it had the capability of producing machine readable analysis of words. The words were used as key for the searching and the synonyms for the words were part of the original word group that helped the viewers to know short definitions. It was however, far away in concept from the modern day PPC searching like the pay per click UK.

Simpli, that came up in 1998 was an early search engine that provided the users with the benefit of disambiguation. This meant that users were now able to use ambiguous terms to search the required contents. The user was now able to enter an ambiguous term having multiple meanings to conduct his search and the search engine on such instructions would produce a list of alternatives. This rendered the Pay Per Click Marketing even easier for the advertisers on the web as they did not have to spend too much time on selection of unambiguous key words.

However, the search engines today are way ahead of the technologies used by WordNet or Simpli. The Website Design followed by them includes all aspects of making the search easier and convenient for the viewer to enhance the scope of Pay Per Click Marketing

Combining Keywords For Search Engine Optimization

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

In the past, search engine optimization techniques were based around single key words. The techniques which would be used to decide how to best design a site would include tips such as having a one to three percent distribution of the key words which the site wanted to be highly ranked for in the content text. However, there is mounting evidence that the modern web crawler programs are using some new techniques to decide which web pages are the best.

It seems that more and more often the web sites, which are showing the fastest improvement in their search engine optimization results, are those that use key words in combination, not alone. This means that you should come up with different key words and key phrases which are related – all of these key words should be in the content together and they should still be in the same kind of normal ratio which search engines are known to be most attracted to.

By using this new technique, web crawlers are searching for content, which is more likely to be created by actual humans and to have information that people are interested in. If you want to have a site which attracts the most visitors using the latest in search engine optimization techniques you should combine key words and key phrases in such a way to get more people to come to your site. Research the best combinations of phrases and find out what works for you and the topic you have chosen!
