Milestones of Literature
When you think about the Urdu literature, you won’t be finished without mentioning the worthwhile efforts that some of the great people like Ashfaq Ahmad , Shafiqur Rehman, Mustansir Hussain Tarar , Manto and many others, have made for the survival of the Urdu Adab. Ibne –safi a renowned writer, who was basically from India and then shifted to Pakistan, has done lot of good to the fiction writing in which he has done some exceptional work in mystery . He has also worked a great deal in the short articles. Imran series and Jasoosi Duniya are the two main books that brought a great fame to him.
Just Like Urdu Adab, Urdu poetry has also attained a prestigious place for itself, the reason of this surge is that Urdu poetry is so multi-dimensional and multi-colored that it fits in every field of life. To make matters more interesting, funny Urdu poetry also played its part.
Some of the poets who have done some exceedingly good work in the normal Urdu poetry have also done an amazingly good job in funny poetry. Anwer Masood is one of the famous poet who has an extensive fan following and admirers, in and out of the country. He also, serves as a perfect example of the poet who has done the Funny poetry and Sad Poetry, simultaneously and that’s too without affecting the Quality. If his poetry can bring smiles on your faces then he also posses the ability to bring the feel of heart breaking on your face. These people are certainly the gems of Pakistani poetry and adab.
